Electrical engineering design for automation and robotics

Automated cells consist of components from many manufacturers that have to become one whole, electrically and in terms of safety. The real design work lies in the interfaces: signal routing, safety circuits, emergency stop zones and a structure you can find again when the line is rebuilt.

Typical tasks

  • Distributing PLC and I/O structures cleanly across plant sections.
  • Safety technology: emergency stop zones, guard door circuits, enabling switches.
  • Signal routing between robot controller, peripherals and supervisory level.
  • Control cabinet layout with heat and space requirements in mind.
  • Cable routing in moving axes and energy chains.

What we take on

  • Electrical design for cells, lines and individual plant sections.
  • 3D layout planning of control cabinets including manufacturing data.
  • Coordinating the trades involved and reviewing supplied documents.
  • Documentation that still holds at the next line extension.

Engineering software & CAE systems

We work inside your system landscape.

For electrical design and technical documentation we use established CAE systems. Which one we use follows your standards and your existing environment – not our habit.

Technical framework

On automated lines, documentation is not proof but a tool: when a fault stops the line, how quickly a signal can be located decides between minutes and hours of downtime.

A phone call or three lines is enough. From the very start you talk to the people who will later work on your project – not to a distribution list.
