Electrical engineering design for automotive and mobility

In the automotive industry, electrical design means two very different things: the electrics in the vehicle itself, and the production plants that build it. Each has its own standards, cycle times and documentation requirements – and we tell you up front which of the two paths we are taking.

Typical tasks

  • Electrical design of body shop, paint and assembly lines.
  • Standardising cycle-time-critical sections with a high repetition rate.
  • Test benches with measurement technology and a defined signal chain.
  • Wire harness and cable routing in the vehicle and in the plant.
  • Documentation following the respective manufacturer standard.

What we take on

  • Electrical design for production plants and individual line sections.
  • Wire harness design and three-dimensional cable routing.
  • Technical coordination with the customer’s project management and departments.
  • Project teams at the production site.

Engineering software & CAE systems

We work inside your system landscape.

For electrical design and technical documentation we use established CAE systems. Which one we use follows your standards and your existing environment – not our habit.

Technical framework

In this industry, manufacturer standards are more binding than any norm. We work in your template and with your labelling systematics – even where they differ from what we would otherwise use.

A phone call or three lines is enough. From the very start you talk to the people who will later work on your project – not to a distribution list.
