Self-sufficient infrastructure in an extreme location

Challenge

An internationally operating company in the raw materials sector required the planning of a self-sufficient “LiveBase” with complex infrastructure in the Algerian desert. The real technical challenge lay in the reference designation structure for a site of several square kilometres – with the requirement that every component, however small, could be identified and found to the metre.

Our contribution

We were responsible for the complete electrical planning and automation of the core systems: security technology, access systems, building management technology and IT infrastructure. Our experience with robust engineering ensured feasibility under the given conditions.

Result

The planning provided the basis for a fully functional and secure infrastructure. This was essential for the operational reliability of the critical systems and made efficient orientation across the extensive site possible.
