Modernisation of a dishwasher production line
A new automation strategy for a production line – with consistently linked documentation from the factory layout through to the fluid plan.
Challenge
A household appliance manufacturer planned to modernise its dishwasher production and sought support in automation and process engineering – particularly for sheet metal processing.
Our contribution
Our team integrated itself deeply into the production processes. We analysed the processes in pressing and forming technology as well as in final appliance assembly, and devised a new automation strategy. Implementation was carried out with EPLAN and with circuit diagram and pneumatic macros developed specifically for this plant.
A key element was consistently and logically linked documentation – from the factory layout through assembly drawings and circuit diagrams to the fluid plan.
Result
Production precision and speed improved while material waste was reduced. We were actively involved in redesigning the production line and identified additional potential for further automation.
