Whether a conversion succeeds without interrupting production depends on the plant, its condition and the downtime windows – we say so beforehand instead of promising it. What planning can do: cut the steps so interruptions stay short or fall into stops that are planned anyway.

Replacing discontinued components is the easy part of a retrofit. What tips such projects over are the changes of the past twenty years that never flowed back into the documents: the extra terminal, the relocated drive, the jumper somebody fitted and nobody noted. Anyone planning from the old drawings is planning on a plant that no longer exists in that form.
That is why the as-is survey comes before the concept. We reconcile the existing documents with the plant and first deliver a list of the deviations. Only then does the conversion concept follow: what gets replaced, which reserves are still available in the cabinets, and in which order it can be carried out without stopping production longer than necessary.
We cut the conversion steps so your maintenance team can carry them – with many customers they execute the steps themselves. Every change from conversion and commissioning is fed back into the documentation. What remains is a plant that runs and a set of documents that matches it, forming the basis for the next conversion.

Our drawings are outdated – is that a problem?
It is the normal case, and exactly why every retrofit starts with the as-is survey. Reconciling drawings and plant is part of the service, not your prerequisite.
Can the conversion be done without interrupting production?
That cannot be promised across the board. It depends on the plant, its condition and the available downtime windows. We cut the conversion so interruptions stay short or fall into planned stops; in individual projects it succeeded without interruption.
Who carries out the conversion?
That is your choice. Many customers execute the steps with their own maintenance team – we plan them accordingly. Where trades are missing, specialised partners can be brought in; we coordinate the interfaces.
